A pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle in Richmond earlier this month has died of her injuries, police said.
A 54-year-old woman was struck by a grey Acura SUV in the 11000-block of Bridgeport Road on Nov. 12 around 6:30 p.m. The pedestrian did not appear to have been crossing in a designated area, RCMP said.
The pedestrian suffered critical injuries and was taken to hospital. She later died from her injuries.
RCMP have ruled out alcohol and speed as factors in the crash.
The driver, a 59-year-old Surrey man, remained at the scene of the crash and has been cooperative with police.
The death marks Richmond’s fourth pedestrian fatality of the year.
