Some Maritimers are in for a rainy couple of days, as Environment Canada issues rainfall warnings for parts of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
According to the forecast, an approaching low-pressure system from the southwest is tracking to the southeast of New Brunswick and eastern parts of Nova Scotia.

Rain, heavy at times, is expected Wednesday and into Thursday morning.
The rain will begin over southern New Brunswick late Wednesday afternoon. About 30 to 40 millimetres of rain is expected for that part of the province, and up to 50 millimetres in the Kennebecasis Valley and parts of the Fundy coast.

As the system moves away from New Brunswick, the forecast is calling for up to 50 millimetres of rain over portions of eastern mainland Nova Scotia.
Environment Canada reminds residents that heavy downpours can cause flash floods, pooling water on roads and localized flooding.
