They say a 75-year-old woman from Aldouane died at the scene and it appears she was trying to remove something from the road when she was struck.
A man and a woman in the car were both taken to the hospital and later released.
RCMP say their investigation is continuing, however, they do not believe speed or alcohol were contributing factors.
