Man faces murder charge after woman’s body found in west-end Toronto

TORONTO – A Toronto man has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of a woman whose body was found in the city’s west end.

Police say the woman showed obvious signs of trauma when she was discovered Saturday morning.

They have not released her name, but say she was 27 years old.

A male suspect was arrested roughly three hours later in the neighbouring city of Mississauga.

Police identified him Sunday as 30-year-old Emmanuel Owusu-Ansah.

This is Toronto’s third homicide of the year.
