RCMP concerned for safety of missing 12-year-old Nova Scotia boy

UPDATE: As of 12:45 p.m. on Oct. 12, RCMP say Colby Auger has been located and is safe.

Nova Scotia RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 12-year-old boy.

RCMP say Colby Auger left his home on Pleasant Valley Road in Green Creek, Colchester County on Oct. 11 at 4:10 p.m. and did not return home.

Colby is described as Caucasian, approximately 5’2″ with an average build and short blond hair.

He was last seen wearing green glasses, a grey and blue plaid jacket, and blue track pants that had a green stripe. He also had on a blue T-shirt with a green stripe that matches his pants and a black and white ball cap.

Police, Ground Search and Rescue and the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC) are currently combing the area looking for any sign of the missing boy.

RCMP say Colby went missing near a river, which is why JRCC has been called in.

Ground Search and Rescue is scouring the wooded area near the river.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Colby Auger is asked to contact Colchester District RCMP at 902-896-5000.
