It’s Friday – let’s see what you think.

About the fate of Sears Canada, and the employees let go without what would seem to be proper financial compensation, Chelle finds it hard to believe corporations don’t have enough money to look after their employees, when the CEO often gets a golden handshake.

Pat says it’s obvious the government does not care.  John says employees suffer from the poor planning of executives.

Troy asks, “When Sears got into trouble, did the employees line up to take a pay cut?”

Bonnie says it’s sad – they always looked forward to getting the Sears catalogue.

About the Energy East pipeline being cancelled, John points out we’re told to buy local farm products and we should use Canadian oil in Canadian refineries.

Paolo finds it sad that government and not regulatory agencies decide which pipelines go ahead. He says it’s like a banana republic.

And, about the municipal election, most want to talk about the money wasted on bike lanes.

Some might like it if bikes had to be licensed and insured and made to obey traffic laws.

Let me know what you think and have a great weekend.
