The Hamilton Tool Library has announced via social media that it’s closing its doors, effective immediately, following a two-year run.

The non-profit organization offered residents the opportunity to embrace a ‘do-it-yourself’ attitude towards projects by lending out tools and teaching residents how to use them.

A statement on the Hamilton Tool Library Facebook page says it is with “heavy hearts” that they have decided to close up shop on King Street East, citing financial challenges that they are “not equipped to overcome.”
