Scary moments for employees of a TD Canada Trust in Burlington.
Halton police say just before 1:00 p.m. Monday afternoon a man armed with a large knife entered the branch on Plains Road East.
Police say the man jumped over the counter and demanded cash.
Bank officials handed an undisclosed amount of cash to the man who fled the bank and was last seen running towards King Road.
Police say no one was injured during the robbery.
The canine unit was called in and conducted an extensive search of the area but the suspect was not found.
Police say the suspect is white, 30 to 45 years old, 5’6″ to 5’9″, 190 to 200 lbs, and was clean shaven.
He was wearing a black coat with its hood pulled up, black sunglasses, grey track pants and black running shoes with white soles.
Police are asking any other witnesses to call them or Crime Stoppers.
