A home in Hamilton’s east end suffered extensive damage after a blaze broke out.
The Hamilton Fire Department responded to a report of a house fire at 244 Glennie Avenue at about 12:43 p.m. on Saturday.

After confirming there was no one inside the home, firefighters were able to extinguish the flames before they spread to neighbouring houses.
Damage has been estimated at approximately $200,000.
There were no reported injuries.
The Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office has been called in to determine the cause of the fire.
