Large sinkhole closes downtown Toronto street

TORONTO – A large sinkhole about 10 feet deep has closed a section of downtown Toronto Wednesday afternoon.

The sinkhole was discovered in front of 364 Adelaide Street between Spadina and Peter.

The area has been closed to traffic as a precaution and city crews have been dispatched to investigate the problem.

There’s no word yet on when the street will reopen to traffic.
