Vernon and area is getting set to host thousands of athletes this week.
Participants in the 55 Plus BC Games will start registering tomorrow, with competition in 27 sports beginning Wednesday.

The events range from bridge to table tennis, and will be held in Vernon, Coldstream and Armstrong-Spallumcheen.
The 3600 participants will be staying at local hotels, motels, B and B’s, campsites, and with friends.
Athletes will march into Kal Tire Place for the opening ceremony on Wednesday night.
The games wrap up Sunday.
