Police are investigating after a serious assault closed two sections of road downtown Winnipeg Friday morning.
Officers responded to the scene at around 3 a.m.

Westbound Portage Avenue between Smith Street and Donald Street was shut down, as well as northbound Smith Street between Portage Avenue and Ellice Avenue.
Police have not released what they’re investigating or if anyone was injured.
