Bonney had only been in the position since February after he left government.

A statement posted on the association’s website says Bonney tendered his resignation in light of the Dyble report which he felt compromised his ability to work in the best interests of the residential construction industry.

According to Dyble, Bonney had spent part nearly half of his government work time on partisan activities for the liberals. Two senior civil servants and multicultural minister John Yap have already resigned.
