Lady Gaga postpones Montreal show due to laryngitis, respiratory infection

Singin’ in the Rain is one of Hollywood’s all-time great movie musicals but as Lady Gaga learned the hard way, it’s also a great way to become sick.

During her performance on Aug. 28 at Citi Field in NYC, Gaga continued to perform when a heavy rainstorm hit, and now she’s feeling the consequences by being too ill to take the stage for Monday night’s concert at Montreal’s Bell Centre. As a result, the show will be postponed.

On Monday afternoon, Gaga reached out to fans to express her apologies, explaining that she is “unable to perform this show tonight. I sing this entire show live, and pride myself on giving my all, but when I sang in the rain at Citi Field I got sick and am pushing through.”

She added: “I am so sorry to anyone who had their heart set on seeing me tonight. I love you.”
