Police officers injured in electronics store robbery pursuit

TORONTO – Two Toronto police officers were injured following a robbery pursuit in west end Toronto Tuesday afternoon.

The robbery happened just before 5 p.m. at a Bell Mobility store near the intersection of Dufferin and Sheppard Avenue.

The suspects then fled to a home on Daystrom Drive near Finch and Highway 400.

Police were able to track down the perpetrators using the stolen cell phones’ GPS.

The Emergency Task Force were called in and three suspects were arrested a short time later.

One police officer was taken to hospital with minor injuries after being struck by a vehicle during a foot pursuit.

Another officer also suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
