A vehicle stop in the South Okanagan recently led to a drug bust both on the street and in a home.
Last Tuesday, Penticton RCMP stopped a vehicle on Nanaimo Avenue. A 44-year-old Penticton woman and 34-year-old Naramata man were arrested for drug offenses.

RCMP then executed a search warrant at a house in the 700 block of Argyle Street where they found quantities of methamphetamine and marijuana as well as trafficking paraphernalia and a loaded rifle.
Cori Ann Mitchell faces charges of possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of marijuana, unsafe storage of a firearm and possession of a firearm while prohibited.
Mitchell, who has prior drug trafficking convictions, was released from court on bail.
The male suspect, who has a previous conviction for drug trafficking, was released shortly after his arrest and faces a single charge of possession of methamphetamine.
