Girl, 8, sexually assaulted in North York

TORONTO – Police are investigating after an 8-year-old girl was allegedly assaulted on her walk to school Monday morning.

Investigators say the victim was walking in the Bramble Drive and Barrydale Crescent area just after 8 a.m. when a man approached her from behind and assaulted her.

The suspect indicated he had a weapon but never brandished it.

The man is described as white, 19 to 22 years old, 5’6″ to 5’10”, with a thin build, large nose and short, black, spiky hair.

He was last seen wearing a plain black, long-sleeved shirt, black silky pants and black shoes.
