Some vulnerable users of a small north Okanagan water system should be boiling their water.
The Delcliffe Water Utility, which serves 32 homes in the area north of Ellison Provincial Park, was under a water quality advisory as of Thursday due to turbidity.
The utility gets its water from Okanagan Lake. A rise in the level of turbidity in the water at the utility’s intake point has triggered the advisory.
Greater Vernon Water said the advisory means children, the elderly and those with weakened immune systems should be boiling their water for one minute before drinking it, using it to prepare food or drinks or for brushing teeth.
