CALGARY – Police have one man in custody following a standoff in Mount Pleasant, Wednesday night.
Officers were called to a home in the 800 block of 19th Avenue N.W. around 9:30 p.m. for reports of a domestic dispute.

A woman was able to get out of the house safely, but told police the man left inside the home had weapons.
The Calgary Police tactical unit was called, and a portion of the street was shut down as officers negotiated with the suspect.
The standoff was eventually resolved about six hours after it started.
Police continue to investigate whether any weapons were involved.
