WINNIPEG – Police have arrested four people following a stabbing in Winnipeg’s West End late Tuesday afternoon.
Police were called to Portage Ave. and Maryland St. around 5:00 p.m following reports of a “fight in progress.”
A man was found with multiple stab wounds to his upper body, a woman with injuries to her face.
The 41-year-old man was rushed to hospital and after surgery has since been upgraded to stable condition.
About 20 minutes later police found the car believed to be carrying the alleged attackers.
Four people were arrested and charged with a variety of offences.
Police said 5.16 grams of crack cocaine and 4.5 grams of an unidentified powder were also found during the arrest.
Victor Alexander Ryle, 34, has been charged with:
- Aggravated assault
- Assault causing bodily harm
- Possession of scheduled substance – cocaine
- Possession of scheduled substance – Marijuana
Dwayne Louis Simard, 33, has been charged with:
- Aggravated assault
- Assault causing bodily harm
- Possession of scheduled substance – cocaine
- Possess weapon
Chester Duane Fergus Roulette, 22, has been charged with
- Aggravated assault
- Assault causing bodily harm
- Possession of a scheduled substance – cocaine
A 26-year-old woman was also charged with possessing cocaine.
