RCMP on-scene at serious accident north of Regina

Lumsden RCMP are on-scene at a severe, two-vehicle collision six kilometres north of Regina on Highway 11.

Crews responded to the crash at around 3 P.M.. Lumsden Fire was on-scene to extricate the driver of a rolled minivan so that STARS air ambulance could transport the victim to hospital.

RCMP on the scene told Global News that two occupants of the other vehicle were taken to hospital by ground ambulance.

Traffic was open to one lane northbound following the crash, but at 6:30 P.M. police closed Highway 11 to finish a collision investigation.

Detours have been set up using the off ramps in the area. Police are expecting their presence there to last for several hours.
