Man suffers serious injuries following shooting in Brampton

A man was transported to a trauma centre late Wednesday afternoon following a shooting in Brampton.

Peel Regional Police told AM640 the call came in around 4:20 p.m. to a plaza convenience store in the area of McVean Drive and Castlemore Road.

Shortly after, police confirmed there was a male victim.

Peel paramedics said before 5 p.m. that a man with a gunshot wound was being transported to a Toronto trauma centre in serious condition.

Police are investigating a possible second scene that the shooting may have taken place at.

There’s no word yet on a suspect description in connection with the incident.
