A Winnipeg family who adopted their dog after seeing her on Global News Morning's Adopt A Pal segment shares their story with Shannon Cuciz – Jul 5, 2017

After watching a little abandoned puppy on Global News Morning, Tyler Parks knew he wanted to adopt for the first time.

“I saw her… I messaged my fiancée and said we just we got to have her, we absolutely have to have her,” Parks said.

The puppy appeared on Global’s weekly Adopt a Pal series twice with Manitoba Underdogs Rescue.

“I contacted the foster and we went to go visit and… we were kind of head over heels for her, so she’s joined our family.”

“She met our other dog Billie and they’re the bestest of buds, we’ve got two delightful little ladies and they’re very happy together, which is great,” Parks said.

“They’re the perfect little match, they run around and play all over the house, all over the yard.”

Parks said the puppy, now named Lulu, is very appreciative and affectionate towards the family.

“It’s funny, after meals she’ll come and jump on Kyla and I, give us a big hug and a big kiss.”

“It’s been one of the greatest experiences that I’ve ever had with a pet and I’ve had dogs all my life… adopting is something I would recommend to anybody.”
