Woman injured after suspicious house fire in Nova Scotia

Nova Scotia RCMP are reporting that a woman was found injured after a suspicious house fire on Tuesday.

According to police, officers of the Windsor District attachment were called to the scene of a house fire on Mountain Road in Three Mile Plains shortly after 2 .a.m.

The 68-year-old woman had been found inside the home by members of the fire department and was transported to the hospital by Emergency Health Services.

RCMP Cpl. Jennifer Clarke told The Canadian Press her injuries were thought to be serious, but she had no other details. She said the woman is a resident of Three Mile Plains, but couldn’t say if she lived in the house.

RCMP and the Nova Scotia Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating the fire and encourage anyone with information to contact them at (902) 798-2207.
