Multiple charges laid after police say Winnipeg man spotted with handgun outside bar

WINNIPEG — A 25 year-old Winnipeg man has been charged with numerous offences after police say witnesses spotted him loading a handgun outside an Arlington Street Bar.

Winnipeg police were called to the 1100 block of Arlington around 11:55 p.m. Monday night.

Police said a man had physically assaulted another customer.  When he left the bar police said he was then seen removing and loading a handgun.

The suspect was disarmed without issue.

Chad Daniel Cameron has been charged with 13 offences:

  • careless use of firearm
  • possess weapon dangerous to public peace
  • unauthorized use of firearm
  • possession of a prohibited/restricted firearm with ammunition
  • unauthorized possession of a prohibited/restricted firearm in a motor vehicle
  • assault
  • utter threats to kill
