St. Patrick’s Day is here and for those who enjoy celebrating, it’s always a cheerful day filled with green beer, green clothes and hopefully a bit of the luck of the Irish.

London pubs and bars will be filled with people, including over at McCabe’s Irish Pub and Grill on Richmond St.

Their doors open at 11 a.m. ET and they’ll have prizes throughout the day, as well as green beverages and plenty of Irish beer.

“Obviously, we’re gonna hit a line-up, that usually happens at all the pubs here in London on St. Patrick’s Day,” said McCabe’s manager Laura Nielsen.

“What’s kind of cool though, is are going to pump the line up through our patio so you can enjoy beer on the patio while you wait for entry.”

McCabe’s will have no shortage of the world’s most famous Irish suds.

“Usually in a week, I’ll order four kegs of Guiness, this time around I have 16,” said Nielsen.

While revelers will be invoking their St. Patrick’s Day spirit, London police are encouraging those taking part in celebrations to do so responsibly.

Police will have an increased presence in the downtown, as well as in the areas around Western University and Fanshawe College.

Officers will be tweeting from the beat with the hashtag, #dontinviteus2urparty, so Londoners can follow along with their efforts.

Friday’s forecast calls for increasing cloudiness throughout the day with a high of 4 C. It is expected to be cloudy overnight, dropping to zero.
