Whistler RCMP are investigating the death of a skier on Whistler Mountain.
Police say a skier contacted them after noticing a man in need of help this morning. The man did not respond to the passerby.

Ski Patrol and RCMP attempted to treat the man at the scene but were unsuccessful.
RCMP say it appears the man fell from a cliff area above Franz’s Meadows. He has been identified as 43-year-old from Oklahoma, but his name has not been released.
