HALIFAX – A man is recovering in hospital from life-threatening injuries after a shooting in the Halifax area.
Halifax Regional Police say the shooting happened at 5:20 p.m. in the north end of Dartmouth.

A 24-year-old male was shot several times during an altercation in the backyard of a residence near Primrose Street and Pinecrest Drive.
Police say the shooting victim managed to run to nearby Jackson Road, where he was found by police and taken to hospital.
