ST. JOHN’S, N.L. – Police in Newfoundland say a woman found badly injured in a park near St. John’s has died in hospital.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary says the woman was found early Monday in Powers Pond Park in Mount Pearl.

They say the 33-year-old was taken to hospital, where she was listed in critical condition.
She was later pronounced dead, but investigators have yet to determine how she died.
Police are asking for the public’s help as they continue to investigate.
