Bird watchers once again made their way to Brackendale this weekend taking part in the annual eagle count.
The area just north of Squamish has one of the world’s greatest concentrations of wintering eagles, but numbers have been dwindling.

Last year, the count recorded just 665 birds, compared to the all-time record 4,000 in 1994.
Those who follow the eagles fear fish farms, run of river power projects, or over-fishing could be to blame.
