New Brunswick RCMP say 15-year-old girl struck by car along highway

DOUGLAS, N.B. – RCMP say a 15-year-old girl was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle while walking on a highway outside Fredericton.

Police say the accident occurred around 9:30 p.m. Saturday on Route 105 in Douglas.

The driver of the vehicle wasn’t hurt.

Police say the teen from Fredericton was taken to a local hospital and was later transferred to a hospital in Saint John, N.B. where she was listed in critical condition.

Police are continuing their investigation.
