Highway 1 between Langley and Hope is slick and dangerous Thursday morning, prompting Drive BC to issue a travel advisory warning for a number of hours.
Our Global News Morning live crew were even on scene when a woman was involved in an accident on the highway in Langley.

Our truck had pulled over to help the woman in an SUV who had skidded out and hit the median on the highway going eastbound just past 160 Street.
As our camera operator was checking to see if she was OK, a TransLink community shuttle bus also rear-ended the SUV.
“I actually didn’t see the bus coming, it hit us at the last second. If he had hit us any differently, it would have been a completely different story.”

Our Global News Morning BC live crew were involved in a crash when they stopped to help a woman along Highway 1 in Langley this morning. Corey Callahan, a Global News cameraman who was part of the crew that stopped, describes what happened and why his instincts are always to help first.
Emergency crews have now taken the driver of the SUV to hospital.

WATCH: Drivers are being urged not to venture out on the roads unless they absolutely have to. Freezing rain and rain have created hazardous conditions Thursday morning.
“When you’re in the news business and you’re the first one on scene, your first instinct is to get out and help,” said Callahan. “And that’s what I did. I hope she’s OK. She sounded like she was OK, she was talking to me, she was conscious.”
