TORONTO – When all is said and done, it may still be Mayor Ford leading the city of Toronto. The question is, which Ford?

Pending the outcome of an appeal by Mayor Rob Ford, if Rob is tossed from office, the administration’s plan is to have his brother and rookie councillor, Doug Ford, run for Mayor in a by-election, according to a report in the Toronto Star.

But who would fight the political force that is Ford nation?

Olivia Chow, Toronto MP and wife to Jack Layton, is considered by many to be a strong contender despite remaining coy on the issue when asked.

After 24 hours, almost 1,500 people have voted in our unscientific online poll. The results of a recent Forum Research poll are echoed in our results with Olivia Chow winning a mayoral race against Doug Ford.

Global News results show that 47.8 per cent of respondents favour Chow to Ford (44.49 per cent).

However, 7.65 per cent suggested they would not cast a vote for either Ford or Chow in a future mayoral election.
