No one was injured but someone lost their home one week before Christmas after a Penticton residence went up in flames Saturday night.
Captain Blaine Dionne said the Penticton Fire Department received a call at 7:05 p.m. to a structure fire at 3316 Valleyview Road.

“Six firefighters initially responded but due to the severity of the blaze an additional 24 firefighters were called to the scene,” Dionne said.
Dionne said four people fled the inferno to safety.
He said the home is completely destroyed and uninhabitable.
The cause remains under investigation.
