The RCMP’s Major Crimes Unit are investigating after a man was found injured in a Grande Prairie home and later died in hospital.
Mounties said officers were called to a residence in the northwest Alberta city where they found the man at around 4:30 p.m.
They said one person is in custody and that the man’s death is being investigated as a homicide. However, they did not say if they expect to lay charges.
Police did not say how the man died or why the death was being investigated as a homicide but said they “believe this was not a random act and there is no risk for public safety.”
