Police seize guns and ammunition after vehicle stopped in northwest Regina

Two people are facing numerous weapons charges after police seized guns and ammunition from a vehicle early Sunday morning.

At around 5 a.m. on Nov. 27, police were called to a house in the 4800 block of Singer Crescent for reports of a man walking with a gun.

Police said it appeared the man had been at the house earlier then returned with a long-barreled gun.

According to police, the suspect left in a truck but officers later stopped the vehicle near Pasqua Street North.

The gun was found in the vehicle along with loaded magazines of ammunition.

Police then learned of other guns at the suspect’s residence in the 900 block of Forget Street. Officers seized guns and ammunition at the location and a small amount of marijuana. A woman at the residence was also charged in connection with unsafe storage of guns and ammunition.

Stephen Jaworski, 32, is facing 10 charges, including five charges of carless use of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition and one count of driving while impaired.

Candace Elaine Jaworski, 31, is facing four charges including four charges of charges of carless use of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition.
Both appeared in provincial court Monday morning.
