Investigators said a man walked into a Calgary Fire Department station on 10 Avenue S.W. Tuesday saying he thought his roommate was dead.

Crews drove him to his transitional housing complex in Bankiew where they found the body of 58-year-old Richard Pember.

An autopsy completed Wednesday confirmed Pember was the victim of a homicide and on Thursday, police asked for the public’s help in locating Zachery Frederick Rider.

Police said the 36-year-old was located around 8:30 a.m. Friday, but didn’t release details about where or how he was found.
