A 44-year-old Toronto man has been charged in the alleged sexual assault of a woman inside an apartment.
Toronto police said the incident occurred at an apartment near Dawes Road and Gower Street, south of St. Clair Avenue East, just before 7 p.m. Friday.
Officers said a 22-year-old woman was in the apartment and answered the door to a man who identified himself as a Bell employee. After the man was invited inside the apartment to talk about service plans, that’s when police said he sexually assaulted the woman.
Ibrahim Khalil has been charged with sexual assault.
He is scheduled to appear in a Toronto court on Sunday.
