TORONTO – Voters across the U.S. made history on Tuesday, by (among other things) electing the first openly gay Senator, approving same-sex marriage and legalizing the recreational use of marijuana in some states.
Maine and Maryland approved same-sex marriage and Washington and Colorado voted to legalize recreational use of marijuana.
Wisconsin Democratic Representative Tammy Baldwin also made history last night by becoming the first openly gay U.S. senator, as well as the first woman senator from Wisconsin.
Social media was buzzing with reaction to these historic decisions; Global News looked at some of the best reaction to each of these election outcomes.
