WINNIPEG – More than 100 off-duty police officers and cadets fanned out across the city asking Winnipeggers what they think of policing in their neighbourhoods.
One of the primary goals was to find out if people had concerns or ideas about how to improve policing strategies, said Winnipeg Police Association president Maurice Sabourin.

“We’re hoping that the citizens are going to be able to provide some interesting input as far as what they would like to see and what they possibly haven’t seen in their neighbourhoods,” said Sabourin.
The officers and cadets went door-to-door to engage people in conversations about policing.
It’s part of the Neighbour to Neighbour campaign which will also include direct mail to Winnipeg homes.
