UPDATE: Police cancelled the Amber Alert at 9:09 p.m. Friday.
Two children were found “safe and sound” Friday evening after an Amber Alert was issued by Coquitlam RCMP.

The children were believed to have been abducted by their mother around 2 p.m. from Birchland Elementary School in Port Coquitlam.
Police said all three were located at a Sicamous gas station around 9 p.m.
The mother is now in custody with charges pending and the children are being returned to family.
