WINNIPEG – True North Sports and Entertainment has submitted a joint bid with Saskatoon to host the 2019 World Junior Hockey Championship.

The organization, which owns the Winnipeg Jets, the Manitoba Moose, MTS Centre and the MTS Iceplex, presented its proposal in person to Hockey Canada in Calgary on Tuesday.

“Both markets have a proven track record of getting behind world class events and making them successful,” said True North Sports + Entertainment’s Rob Wozny.
