Human remains have been found along the banks of the Red River in Selkirk, Manitoba.
On Saturday around 1 p.m., Selkirk RCMP said they were called to the banks of the Red River near highway 212 and 204.

When officers arrived on scene, they confirmed the sighting was of human remains and proceeded to contact the Manitoba Historical Resources Branch.
Members of the Manitoba Historical Resources Branch arrived on scene early Sunday and are assisting officers with the investigation.
The investigation is ongoing.
