ESPANOLA, Ont. – Provincial police say a Milton, Ont., boy faces charges after alleged threats led to the evacuation of a school in northeastern Ontario.
Police say Chapleau Public School was put in a code red lockdown last Wednesday after police received a report that threats had been made against the school.
They say the entire school in Chapleau, Ont., was evacuated while officers investigated.
OPP say an extensive investigation has led to charges of false message, uttering threats and two mischief-related counts against a 16-year-old.
They say the accused is being held in custody pending an appearance in Espanola, Ont., court.
