A second man has been charged in the death of 46-year-old Christopher Lee Giroux, who died late last month.

Police said Duncan Farrell, 22, was arrested Thursday and charged with first-degree murder.

The arrest comes after police charged 27-year-old Levi Denim Simpson early last week with first-degree murder and unlawful confinement in Giroux’s death.

Just after midnight on Sept. 25, officers found Giroux near 107 Avenue and 110 Street with “obvious trauma to his chest.” Police said he was taken to hospital where he died.

The exact cause of Giroux’s death has not been released. Police anticipate they will lay more charges in relation to the homicide.
