Toddler, 2, rushed to hospital after being struck by car in Scarborough

A two-year-old girl was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Scarborough Thursday morning.

Toronto police said the toddler was hit by a car in a parking lot around 10:30 a.m. near the intersection of Warden Avenue and Ellesmere Road.

Toronto paramedics said the child was taken to a trauma centre with very serious injuries.

Police said the vehicle involved in the collision remained at the scene.

There’s no word yet if the driver will face any charges.
