Regina police are trying to identify a person who was found dead in a house fire last week.

Firefighters responded to a large fire at a home in the 1500 block of McTavish Street early on Oct. 11. Police were called to assist at around 3:35 a.m.

Fire crews found the body of a person inside the house. Police said the house was searched as well as they could be during the fire, given the extreme heat and instability of the structure.
