A man is in hospital this morning after being found on the front steps of the Burnaby RCMP detachment, stabbed in the lower back.
Just before 2 a.m. Monday the man was reportedly at an apartment nearby when he got into an altercation and jumped off the balcony.

Witnesses say he then ran to the police station on Hastings Street near GilmoreAvenue for help.
It appears his injuries are not life-threatening.
An investigation is still ongoing and there is no word on a possible suspect.
