Trapped woman cut out of car following crash in west-end Toronto

TORONTO — A woman is in hospital with serious injuries after a collision left her trapped in her car early Friday morning in the city’s west end.

Toronto Police arrived on scene around midnight. Two Volkswagen Golfs had crashed near Dundas Street West and Sterling Road.

One woman was trapped inside her vehicle for nearly an hour while firefighters cut through the car to free her.

The westbound lanes of Dundas Street West are closed at College Street.
