RCMP looking for suspect after armed robbery at Penticton 7-Eleven

Police are looking for a suspect after a man robbed the Skaha Lake Road 7-Eleven in Penticton.

Penticton RCMP Spokesman Rick Dellebuur said it was just after midnight on Tuesday morning when a man wearing a bandana over his mouth and carrying a hatchet, walked into the convenience store demanding money.

Dellebuur said the man took off with a small amount of cash.

A search involving the detachment’s police dog tracked the suspect to the White Water Modular Home Park, but he got away.

Police are looking for a Caucasian man, about 6′ tall, with a thin build. He was dressed in a plaid jacket, wearing a hat with a bandanna pulled over his face.
